Solaris Investment Management has been recognised as a leading Australian fund manager at the 2019 Zenith Fund Awards.

The Solaris Australian Equity Long Short Fund was awarded best fund in the Australian Equities – Alternative Strategies category.

The award was accepted by Solaris Investment Management’s Managing Director, Will Earnshaw.

“The recognition of our Long Short product is testament to the hard work displayed by the Solaris team who are dedicated to generating outperformance for our investors now and into the future,” said Mr Earnshaw.

The Solaris Australian Equity Long Short Fund provides investors with an opportunity to invest in a fundamental style neutral Australian equity long short product. 

The 2019 Zenith Fund Awards were held in Sydney on Friday, October 11.

Solaris Investment Management was a winner at the prestigious 2019 Money Management Lonsec Fund Manager of the Year Awards held on the 16th of May. The team won the Long/Short Equities category, for the Solaris Australian Equity Long Short Fund.

The 2018 winners of the Professional Planner | Zenith Fund Awards were announced during an event in the Ivy Ballroom in Sydney on Friday 5th of October.

The prestigious annual awards recognise excellence in funds management, as judged by Zenith’s robust methodology, which examines each manager’s investment philosophy, the expertise of the investment team, the investment process, portfolio construction, risk management and performance.

Solaris Investment Management won the Australian equities – alternative category against a highly competitive field.

Zenith Investment Partners general manager & head of research, Bronwen Moncrieff explained it was particularly difficult for active managers in some sectors to outperform this year, due to historically low volatility, and the winners had done exceptionally well.
